George Mason Beats Brown, 89-52

John Vaughan scored 18 points, leading George Mason to an 89-52 victory against Brown Monday night.

George Mason (2-0) shot 55 percent from the field, and forced 17 turnovers in its home opener.

The Patriots also saw a significant contribution off the bench from freshman Mike Morrison, who had 15 points in 12 minutes. Vlad Moldoveanu also scored in double figures for George Mason, tallying 12 points.

The Patriots forced 17 turnovers and hit nine 3-point shots for their 15th win in the last 16 home games, dating back to February 2007.

The Bears (0-2) were paced by 15 points from Peter Sullivan.
