Washington Nationals' Night OUT Will Honor Orlando Victims

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Washington Nationals’ Night OUT event will honor the victims of the nightclub shootings in Orlando, Florida.

Tuesday’s ceremony is the baseball team’s 12th annual Night OUT event, and was scheduled long before Sunday’s mass shooting in the nightclub. The program will include performances of the National Anthem and “True Colors” by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington and a flag unfurling on the field.

The event is sponsored by Team DC, a charitable organization that educates the LGBT community of the benefits of sports participation.

Gates at National Park will open at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. The game between the Nationals and the Chicago Cubs will begin at 7:05 p.m.
