Photos: Inside the Obamas' New House

WASHINGTON – When President Barack Obama and his family leave the White House Jan. 20, they won’t be moving far, and they won’t be taking too many steps down in luxury.

The house the Obamas will rent in the Kalorama section of D.C. is about two miles from the White house – and even closer to the vice president’s residence at the U.S. Naval Observatory. The real estate agency McFadden Group’s listing for the house says it’s an 8,200 square-foot house that was built in the 1920s and renovated in 2011.

The Obamas have said they’ll stay in D.C. at least long enough for their youngest daughter, Sasha, to finish high school.

McFadden has provided pictures of the inside and outside.
