WASHINGTON — A Maryland man shot and killed his wife Wednesday and then drove to College Park and shot his 19-year-old son before turning the gun on himself, police say.
Prince George’s County police said Thursday they believe 57-year-old Nasir Siddique killed his son, Farhad Siddique, while sitting in a parked car near the University of Maryland campus, after killing his wife earlier in their Bel Air, Maryland, home.
Both Nasir and his son were suffering gunshot wounds when police discovered their bodies Wednesday at about 10:30 p.m., and both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Farhad had been reported missing to university police earlier in the evening, police said.
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of Nasir’s wife, Zarqa Siddique, whose body was discovered about 10:14 p.m. Wednesday by officers who were requested to conduct a well-being check, authorities said.
