GLASGOW, Va. (AP) — Virginia State Police say two men were killed when their tractor trailer ran off Interstate 81 in Rockbridge County and overturned.
The agency said in a news release that the crash occurred about 7 a.m. Monday near Glasgow. Troopers say the tractor trailer being driven by 42-year-old Mark Tracy Lucas of Stanley ran off the left side of the road, hitting the trees in the median and overturning.
Authorities say Lucas and his passenger, 68-year-old Gerald Hilliard of Stanley, were pronounced dead at the scene. Police say neither man was wearing a seatbelt.
The crash is under investigation.
