Boy Shot in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON — A boy is expected to survive after he was shot in the leg in Southeast D.C. Wednesday.

A boy was shot in the leg in the 2600 block of Stanton Road in Southeast Wednesday afternoon. Police recovered the gun and there are no suspects in custody, a D.C. police spokesperson said.

D.C. police says the boy will survive, but have not released details about the extent of his injuries.

Officials have not released any additional details about the case, including the age of the boy.
