Around 100 Firefighters Battle Flames in Embassy of Ecuador

WASHINGTON — Around 100 D.C. firefighters battled a blaze in the Embassy of Ecuador around midnight on Wednesday.

No injuries have been reported, but D.C. Fire and EMS says the fire was highly visible in the area.

The fire appeared to be confined to the attic and the roof of the building. There were no indications that anyone was inside the building, according to D.C. Fire and EMS.

The embassy is a large, four-story building located on 15th and Euclid Streets. Below is a map of the general area.

function initMapArticle() { var lnglat = {lat: 38.923393, lng: -77.035096}; var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById('map_article'), { zoom: 13, center: lnglat }); var trafficLayer = new google.maps.TrafficLayer(); trafficLayer.setMap(map); var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: lnglat, map: map, title: 'Embassy of Ecuador' }); }
