CHANTILLY, Va. (AP) — Officials at Dulles International Airport say two people have been taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a vehicle known as a people mover got stuck in a construction ditch.
Airport spokesman Rob Yingling says the vehicle had 37 passengers on board when it ran into the ditch around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. It was taking passengers arriving on a flight from Bogota, Colombia, to a customs facility.
Yingling says another people mover was sent to pick up the stranded passengers, and the vehicle that got stuck has now been removed from the ditch.
The customized vehicles are used at Dulles to shuttle passengers across the airfield, either from terminal to terminal or to customs.
