HUNGRY YET? Bethesda Row Restaurant Week kicks off today. Scarf down a three-course lunch for $15, or a three-course dinner for $30. Participating restos include Assaggi Mozzarella Bar, Mon Ami Gabi and Raku. You can also enter for a chance to win a $200 gift certificate to Redwood. Through Sunday, Oct. 24.

DIG THROUGH SECRETS: Acclaimed novelist Nicole Krauss, author of "The History of Love," will discuss her latest, "Great House," at Sixth & I Historic Synagogue (600 I St. N.W.). The novel tells the interconnecting stories of a reclusive novelist, a man caring for his dying wife and an antiques dealer re-creating his father's study after it was descrated by Nazis. 7 p.m.; tickets $10 or get two free tickets with book purchase, $25.

LIV IT UP: Liv (2001 11th St. N.W.) hosts a 15th birthday bash for independent label Duck Down Records, featuring performances from Sean Price, Buckshot, Smif N Wessun and Skyzoo, with music by DJ Evil Dee. 8 p.m.; $20 in advance.
