D.C. Hotel Offers Packages for “Orange Is the New Black” Binge Watchers

Are you an "Orange Is the New Black" fan? Then you're probably steeling yourself for a weekend of closed curtains, delivery pizza and hiring a dog walker once all 13 episodes hit the Internet at once.

Of course, if you and your pals (that might not include Crazy Eyes) are willing to shell out some cash, there's another way.

D.C.'s Hotel Rouge, a Kimpton hotel located just north of Scott Circle, is rolling out a set of "binge watching" packages to let you shut out the rest of the world in style, as opposed to shutting out the rest of the world in prison, a la Piper and company.

Groups of up to 10 guests can "borrow" -- for a fee -- the hotel's event space, where they can power through episodes of the hit Netflix series while lounging on oversized beanbag chairs and chowing down on popcorn.

The packages become available June 6, the day the new "Orange" episodes are released, but the hotel notes that you can use the time to binge watch episodes of any series or miniseries you want.

Rouge's basic binge watching package is $350 and includes either the Red Hot or Lava event space for a minimum of three hours; access to a 50-inch TV, a laptop, Google Chromecast and 10 beanbag chairs; free WiFi, and free popcorn. (Binge watchers will have to use their own on-demand streaming accounts, though.)

A $500 package includes all of the above and adds catering from the hotel and non-alcoholic beverages. If you really want to live it up, there's a $750 package, which adds house red and white wines, and buckets of local beers to the mix.

Unlike Piper's, uh, lodging, these packages don't include an overnight stay; room rates start at $109 if you need to crash. Packages are based on availability.
