Howard County Restaurant Week Starts Jan. 13

Have a savory start to a new year via Howard County's Winter Restaurant Week (actually, two weeks), Jan. 13-27.

Roughly 20 Howard County, Md., restaurants -- from Ellicott City to Columbia -- are partaking in a week of tasty deals, with prix fixe offerings from $10-$41 per meal.

Check out participating spots on OpenTable; reservations are recommended. Take note that not all participating restaurants offer the Restaurant Week menu at both lunch and dinner. Price is per person and does not include beverage, tax or gratuity.

Howard County Maryland and the restaurants taking part in restaurant week are roughly 50 minutes from downtown D.C. If you head north Jan. 18, you might also want to take a side trip to the Winter Eve Fest  at the Robinson Nature Center (6692 Cedar Lane, Columbia, Md). Enjoy s'mores by the fire, winter craft-making, and a lantern-lit walk with a naturalist ($10 per person).
