Rest assured, Bret Michaels' life-threatening medical situation will not stop him from continuing his reality show domination.
In fact, what did not kill him has only brought him stronger ratings potential.
VH1 announced that it will air part of the reality show they were shooting before Michaels was hospitalized called "Bret Michaels: Life As I Know it." And the network will continue production of the show once Michaels fully recovers from his life-threatening brain hemorrhage.
"We have temporarily halted production on the series with Bret's health as our primary concern.," Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Production said, according to PRnewswire. "Production will resume when it is cleared by his doctors. If anyone can fight off illness and get back on his feet, it's Bret."
But the network will air a portion of what they have shot -- or "a sneak peek special featuring the next chapter in Bret's story" -- on May 31. The half-hour special will show Bret at the home compound he shares with his two girls, Raine and Jorja, who affectionately refer to him as "Poppa Rocka." Their mother, Kristi (who has an on-and-off relationship with Michaels), also lives on the compound and adds spice to the mix.
The series "Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It" is tentatively scheduled to premiere in fall 2010. Assuming things get moving again and there isn't another medical setback. Michaels previously rocked VH-1 in "Rock of Love" and has all but stolen the show on this year's "Celebrity Apprentice."
