Rooftop Reggae

Break away from your typical Hump Day humdrum and check out BLT Steak's Reggae on a Roof.

Because it's a day ending with a "y," there is yet another event on a DC rooftop. But this time, as you rise higher into that sweaty, sticky DC atmosphere, imagine yourself far, far away in the tropic abyss of Jamaica, as you jam to the reggae music at BLT Steak's Reggae on a Roof.

At Wednesday's event, you can nosh on hors d'oeuvres courtesy of BLT Steak (1625 I St. NW), groove to the reggae beats of The Proverbs Band, and enjoy the amazing views from the restaurant's rooftop terrace. And with the White House only a block away, you might even be able to catch a glimpse of the new celebrity himself. That Bo is simply adorable.

Proceeds from this event will benefit Kellie Williams Programs, which supports arts and humanities education for youth in DC and across the US. The fun starts at 6:30 p.m.; there will be a cash bar, and tickets are $15 in advance or $25 at the door.
