Jogger assaulted, robbed in park

A woman was assaulted and robbed by two females in a park in Fairfax County Thursday, police said.

The 18-year-old victim was jogging at Huntley Meadows Park when she was attacked by two people, possibly teenage girls, near the South Kings highway/Telegraph Road entrance about 11:15 a.m., police said. She was knocked to the ground and assaulted. Her attackers took clothing and a cellphone before the victim was able to escape.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

She described one attacker as a heavyset Hispanic female age 15-25 standing 5-feet tall and dressed all in black. The other was described as Hispanic or black with medium build, 5-feet-6-inches tall, 15-25 years old and dressed all in black.
