Police: Video Shows Theft From CityCenter Louis Vuitton Store

A woman appeared to hide items under her coat and then stuff them into her purse

Surveillance video from the Louis Vuitton store at CityCenter in downtown D.C. shows two people appearing to shoplift, and D.C. police say they need the public's help to identify them.

Video released by police Monday shows a man and woman looking around the luxury store on the 900 block of Palmer Alley NW about 2:45 p.m. Feb. 20.

A woman with a blonde ponytail appears to glide her hand along a row of scarves, grab one and stuff it under her coat and then into her purse. Then, she appears to rearrange the row to cover the space left by the item.

Later, she and a man with dark hair look at high-heeled shoes. The man appears to take a clutch purse off a shelf and hand it to the woman, who appears to slip it under her coat and into her bag.

Then, he appears to grab a second purse from the display and stuff it into the woman's bag as she holds it open for him.

The duo continue looking at shoes and then exit the video frame.
