Planes Clip Wings at Dulles

No reported injuries

Two Boeing 777s clipped wings at Washington Dulles International Airport on Thursday afternoon.

United Airlines Flight 951 was moving into position at Gate C-12 when one of its wingtips hit the wingtip of an empty plane parked at Gate C-14, said an FAA spokesperson.

The passengers on Flight 951 -- which had just arrived from Brussels -- deplaned without incident. No injuries were reported.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is investigating the incident.
