Police used DNA evidence to link a man to a home invasion in which two senior citizens were assaulted last year.
Before 5:30 a.m. Oct. 18, three people forced their way into an 87-year-old man’s home in the 500 block of McPherson Road in Glen Burnie, Md., police said. They assaulted the man and his 73-year-old girlfriend and ransacked the home, taking money and property including a television.
Both victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.
Prince George’s County police arrested 26-year-old Travis J. Evans of Baltimore March 4. He is being held in Prince George’s while awaiting trial on other chargers.
A detainer has been placed on Evans for him to appear in Anne Arundel County on the home invasion charges, police said.
