BETHESDA, Md. -- Red Line riders experienced more delays after a fire on the tracks at the Bethesda Metro Station.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue units went to the station Tuesday evening, authorities said. They isolated a small fire to one outbound track inside the station and extinguished it.

Track insulator caught fire.

The Bethesda station remained open, but trains single-tracked between Friendship Heights and Medical Center for a while.

The incident has been cleared.
