Thieves Ram CVS With Cars, Remove Cash From ATM

Thieves used cars to ram into a CVS storefront and steal from the store's ATM in Forestville, Md., early Monday morning, Prince George's County police said.

About 3 a.m., someone drove a vehicle into the CVS with possible help from someone in a second car, police said. Both vehicles were stolen and left behind at the scene.

The thieves got away in a third vehicle, police said. A source close to the investigation told News4 they managed to take cash from the ATM.

Police already were investigating an attempted CVS smash and grab from the weekend. No money was taken during that attempt in Camp Springs about 3 a.m. Sunday.

Police are investigating whether the two cases are related but said there’s no solid proof connecting the two.
