Extra security will be at Flowers High School in Springdale, Md., Friday after an armed robbery involving a student Thursday.
A 15-year-old student said he was robbed of a cell phone and cash at gunpoint in the school gym at 10 a.m.
Police arrested one suspect a short time later in the cafeteria, but another got away.
Investigators later located the pistol, which was a BB gun, police said.
“Whenever we have allegations of this type, we always review our security procedures, and I’m certain that we will be making the appropriate adjustments,” Prince George’s County Public Schools Director of Security Michael Blow said.
