The search for a 6-year-old boy in Columbia Heights is over. The boy has been found, reportedly with a family friend.
Police were out with search dogs Monday morning searching for Jayvon Brown.
He was last seen in the 1300 block of Columbia Road NW around 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Family members say it was not like Jayvon to go beyond his block and that he always stayed close to home to play.
"I just want my grandson to come home. All I want my grandson to do is to come home. He's a sweet, little innocent little boy," Jayvon's grandmother told News4's Derrick Ward during the search.
No further information was immediately available.
