A search is underway for a man charged in a Maryland liquor store robbery who left a courthouse as a jury deliberated his case.

Michael Anderson, 40, was on trial for allegedly robbing the Laurel Park Liquor Store on June 15, 2012. On Tuesday, he left an Upper Marlboro courtroom and disappeared, said authorities.

The jury later convicted Anderson of armed robbery although he was not there to hear the verdict, authorities said. He'll be sentenced for the robbery once he is caught by police.

The Prince George's County Sheriff's Office has issued a warrant for his arrest.

Anyone with information on his location is asked call the Sheriff's Office at 301-780-8600.
