Man charged after allegedly attacking another driver

A man from Frederick, Md., is facing assault charges after an alleged road rage incident Monday morning near Hagerstown.

Gery Jordan tried several times to run the driver of a Ford Ranger off the road on Route 65 near Interstate 70, police said.

Jordan then stopped in the roadway, got out of the car, and assaulted the other driver, Luke Turner, several times with a walking stick, police said.

Jordan was arrested and now faces first- and second-degree assault charges along with several traffic offenses.  He was released on $7,500 bond.
