Reward Offered After Arlington Bank Robbery

Police in Arlington are asking for the public's help to identify a man wanted in connection with a bank robbery.

The man walked into the BB&T bank in the 900 block of North Taylor Street at 9:19 a.m. Monday. He handed a note to a teller demanding money, got the money and ran away, police said.

He is described as black man, about 5-feet-7-inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a dark green trench coat, khaki pants, a red scarf and a Boston Red Sox baseball hat.  He also wore glasses and had facial hair.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of this individual is asked to contact Detective Rosa Ortiz with the Arlington County Police Department at 703-228-7402 or investigations@arlingtonva.us. To report information anonymously, contact Arlington County Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS (8477). Police are offering a $25,000 reward.
