Prince William County School Evacuated Tuesday

All Clear at Patriot High After Evacuation

A Prince William County high school was evacuated Tuesday morning for a strange odor.

Administrators ordered the evacuation of Patriot High School at 9:15 a.m.

There were reports of a strong, unidentifiable odor in the school building.

At 10:45 a.m. children were waiting aboard school buses.

Officials were conducting sweeps to determine the odor's source.

UPDATE: At 11:20 a.m., students and staff had returned to the building.  No danger was discovered, regular school activities resumed.
