    A pregnant woman lost her child after she was stabbed in her southeast Washington home. News4's Erika Gonzalez reports.

    A pregnant woman lost her baby and suffered serious injuries after being stabbed in the stomach overnight at a home in the 4200 block of 9th Street in southeast Washington.

    Police said the victim was eight months pregnant. The woman is recovering at Howard University Hospital.

    The infant, identified as Kuron Rashad Hunt, was delivered and was later pronounced dead.

    The neighbor who called 911 told News4's Erika Gonzalez that the woman said she was sleeping on her couch when a stranger entered her apartment and stabbed her.

    Police said there were no apparent signs of forced entry. No information about a suspect has been released.

    This case is currently undetermined pending the results of an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

    Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide in the District. This case remains under investigation.
