A man accused of firing a gun down a Metro escalator in D.C. has been arrested, police say.
Cesar Morales, 22, is suspected of firing at gun in the Columbia Heights Metro station Friday afternoon. Alarming video shows two men chasing someone in the station about 12:15 p.m.
Police were searching for Morales and warned he "should be considered armed and dangerous" earlier Thursday.
Montgomery County police confirmed to News4 later Thursday night he was in their custody.
Five days after the Metro shooting, a man was shot and killed in the neighborhood. Mark Lewis, 42, of Northeast Washington was killed on the 1400 block of Harvard Street NW about 9:40 p.m. Wednesday. Lewis was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call police at 202-727-9099. A reward of as much as $25,000 is offered.
Earlier this week, the Metropolitan Police Department released a video that shows a man shooting down the escalator at someone.

Police previously said they were searching for two men who were in the video.
Both men seen in the video and the victim fled the scene. As police arrived, they spotted two men running from the Metro station.
Investigators said one man threw a gun into the front yard of a home on the 3300 block of 16th Street before both men fled.
D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham said the shooter left behind a gun and the intended target fled. It's unclear if that person was shot.
Neighbors said they're worried about the gunfire so close to home.
