Virginia State Police are asking for the public’s help with identifying and locating the suspect vehicle.

Two vechiles collided in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Exit 166, just south of Springfield, Va. The Franklin man, 73, was standing alongside his blue Ford Taurus after the collision, when he and his car were struck by a passing vehicle at approximately 4:15 a.m.

The striking vehicle failed to stop and left the scene. The vehicle of interest is believed to be a large Mercedes sedan or small SUV.
