Montgomery County police used fingerprints to identify a woman whose remains were found in a shallow grave in Patuxent River State Park near Damascus, Md.

Police said Friday that they are investigating 19-year-old Tannessa Victoria Taylor's death as a homicide, but the cause and manner of her death have not been determined.

A man scouting the park for turkey hunting found her remains on Saturday.

The preliminary investigation shows Taylor's partially decomposed body was in a shallow grave in a wooded area near the end of Brown Church Road, police said.

Officials did not confirm Taylor's address.
