All-Clear Given at Pentagon Centre Mall After Evacuation Due to Bomb Threat

Authorities have given the all-clear at the Pentagon Centre mall, more than two hours after it was evacuated due to a bomb threat.

Arlington County Police responded to the one-story mall, which houses a CostCo and Best Buy in a busy shopping area, at about 12:30 p.m. Friday after the threat was called in.

The mall was evacuated while police searched with the aid of bomb-sniffing dogs. Nothing suspicious was found.

Police said around 2:45 p.m. that roads in the area were being reopened.

The mall is located across the street from the larger Fashion Centre at Pentagon City.
