A potential Ebola patient was admitted to the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore Monday evening.
A hospital official said the patient is being isolated and receiving further treatment.
"The initial evaluation is suggestive of a diagnosis other than Ebola infection," a spokesperson for the hospital said late Monday evening.
According to WBAL-TV, UMMC is one of three hospitals designed to care for potential Ebola patients in the state.
