One person was rescued from a house fire in southeast Washington Thanksgiving morning.
The victim was unhurt but was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
Firefighters responded to the 3100 block of Lyndale Place at about 10:30 a.m. They found smoke and fire coming from the second floor of the home.
The fire appears to have started in a mattress.
