A Howard County police officer is in the hospital and a Maryland woman is facing DUI charges after an accident in North Laurel Saturday.
The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Davis Avenue. Police identified the woman as Yolanda Murchison of Columbia, Maryland. Investigators say Murchison drove her car over a curb, across a median and into the police car.
The officer was taken to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.
