Marijuana Grow Operation Found in Home With Daycare

Howard County police charged a Savage, Md., man with growing marijuana in his home, which also houses a day-care center.

David Geoffrey Anderson, 31 was arrested Tuesday and charged with manufacturing, producing and distributing marijuana. He was released on $35,000 bond.

An anonymous tip led them to get a search warrant for the home, police said. Detectives said they found a room under the house that held a hydroponic marijuana grow operation.

Investigators said they also found marijuana plants, seeds and fertilizer, and numerous plastic bags of marijuana in rooms of the house and an outdoor shed.

State officials suspended the home's day-care license, police said.
