Man Shot Outside Minnesota Avenue Charter School

A man is injured after a shooting Friday afternoon outside a charter high school in Northeast D.C.

Classes had just let out for the day when someone opened fire on the 4000 block of Minnesota Avenue NE, near Friendship Collegiate Academy Public Charter School.

A man was shot in the arm about 3:40 p.m., D.C. police said. A white sedan with bullet holes remained on the scene.

Police believe the shooting was unrelated to the school.

Parts of Minnesota Avenue are closed during the investigation. Access to the north side of the Minnesota Avenue Metro station is limited.

Police are searching for a man armed with a "gun with an extended clip."
