Three people have been shot in the same neighborhood where a man was shot and killed early Sunday morning in northeast Washington. Police say one of the victims is 93 years old.
Police said they found a man in the 400 block of Riggs Road NE about 2:45 a.m. The man was suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are still investigating the case. The victim has been identified as Marcellus Thomas, 22, of Northeast.
A man and two women were injured during another shooting happened nearby in the 500 block of Oglethorpe Street NE later Sunday night, police said shortly after 8 p.m. One of the victims is 93 years old, police said.
They all have non-life threatening injuries.
Police have closed some roads in the area as they investigate the shooting.
