A D.C. man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for stabbing a woman 40 times after an argument.
Twenty-three-year-old Michael McBride was also ordered to receive mental health services at sentencing in Superior Court on Friday. He had pleaded guilty to aggravated assault while armed in October.
According to the government's evidence, McBride and the victim agreed to meet outside an abandoned home on June 21. Prosecutors say the two got into an argument over sex, McBride produced a knife and repeatedly stabbed the victim.
McBride was arrested shortly after the attack.
