BOWIE, Md. -- An armored truck dumped cash on a ramp from Route 50 to Route 3 in Bowie Tuesday morning.

When the truck got off eastbound Route 50, a rear door swung open, spilling several bags of coins onto the roadway.

Police from Bowie and Prince George's County answered a call for backup, blocking the ramp and helping sweep up the loose change with brooms and shovels.

The ramp has since reopened.
