HISPANIC POPULATION INCREASE
Gazette: " Maryland's population grew by about a half million residents in the past decade to 5.7 million, with the largest influx of new residents in Montgomery and Prince George's counties, according to 2010 U.S. Census data released Wednesday.  The largest spike was in the state's Hispanic population, which more than doubled to 470,632. Roughly one in 12 Marylanders is now Hispanic. According to the Census, people of Hispanic origin may be of any race." 

DC DUI CASES REVIVED
Washington Examiner:  "The D.C. Attorney General's Office says it plans to revive dozens of drunken-driving cases dropped in recent weeks because of the city's broken alcohol breath-test program, even as questions are being raised by defense attorneys about two officers who were involved in numerous dismissed cases." 

NEW MUSEUM FOR THE MALL
wtop.com / ap: "A group that wants to build a National Museum of the American People in Washington to tell the history of immigration is calling on Congress to jump-start the effort. The group is announcing Wednesday that it has support from 130 ethnic and minority organizations. It's asking Congress to support a bipartisan federal commission to study establishing such a museum."
