It's Official. Sasha and Malia Get Theirs Times 2

Obama girls are now just like other District schoolkids

They're just like other schoolchildren in the District.

On Tuesday, the White House announced that Sasha and Malia Obama received the H1N1 vaccine last week. They've also had their shots for the seasonal flu as well, making the Obama girls immune times two.

The White House was careful to note that the girls got their H1N1 vaccine shots after the scarce vaccine became available to schoolchildren in D.C. So now no one can accuse them of hogging it all to themselves.

Meanwhile, the President and First Lady, who have also been vaccinated against the seasonal flu, are winging it. According to the White House, "they will wait until the needs of the priority groups identified by the CDC – including young people under the age of 24, pregnant women, and people with underlying conditions – have been met" before getting their swine flu vaccine shots.

Well, thanks, Mr. President.

In the meantime, do you think you could get the swine flu vaccine-making companies to step it up a bit? We're all for priority groups getting theirs, but the rest of us want some immunity too.
