A Prince George’s County home was destroyed by fire after officials said a cat knocked a candle onto a mattress.
Fire spokesman Mark Brady said the home on the 2100 block of DuPont Avenue, in Suitland, Maryland, suffered about $50,000 in damage.
Two adults were displaced from the home, but there were no injuries.
