A Virginia man abducted a girl waiting for a bus and molested her Wednesday morning, according to Fairfax County police.

The 12-year-old victim was waiting for her school bus inside an apartment building about 8:30 a.m. when 22-year-old Walter Yomar Gomez-Lemus allegedly pulled her into his apartment and touched her inappropriately, police said.

The girl broke free and ran to her bus, and the incident was reported to police and school administrators. She gave police a description, and officers located Gomez-Lemus within an hour at an apartment in the 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue.

The suspect faces charges of abduction with intent to defile and aggravated sexual battery. Police are investigating whether there are other victims.

The girl did not need medical treatment.
