Gas Prices Below National Average in Virginia

Gasoline prices in Virginia remained flat over the last week.

AAA Mid-Atlantic reports that the average price of a gallon of unleaded gas in Virginia last week was $3.36. That's well below the national average of $3.54 but the same as the state average for the previous week.

A year ago, Virginians were paying on average 24 cents per gallon more.

Last week's regional averages were $3.23 in Roanoke, $3.24 in Charlottesville, $3.33 in Richmond and $3.41 in Norfolk.
