Friends Remember Victim in Vienna Murder-Suicide

Friends of a woman who was killed in an apparent murder-suicide in Vienna, Virginia, are coming together to help her three children who have to go on without her.

Sabrina Titus, 47, was stabbed to death by her ex-husband, Ralph Titus, 53, Sunday evening, police said. According to investigators, Ralph Titus shot and killed himself after stabbing his ex-wife.

Sabrina Titus was a mother of three, including 8-year-old fraternal twins. Friends said a picture of the mother pushing her son, who has special needs, while running a 5K captured the spirit of the woman.

"I can't imagine,” said photographer Laura Goyer. “I can't imagine the people who had to explain this to their children, when as an adult, I can barely even comprehend it."

“We’re all just heartbroken,” said Sarah Randall, a family friend. “It’s just such a tragic event to happen to Sabrina and her family."

Goyer is collecting mementoes and pictures of Sabrina Titus to put inside a memory box for her children.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise funds for funeral expenses as well as child care, medical care and other expenses for the children.

SourceCore Studio on Church Street, Northwest, is inviting the community to a yoga meditation lesson Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. in Sabrina Titus' memory as a fundraiser for the family.
