Five public high schools in the Washington area made the Top 100 in US News and World Report’s annual ranking of the nation’s top schools.

The list is culled from 21,035 high schools in 49 states and the District of Columbia. (Nebraska was the only state that did not report enough data and therefore was not evaluated for the rankings.)
