Five Injured, Including 3 Kids, in Suitland Parkway Crash

Five people, including three children, have been seriously injured due to a crash along Suitland Parkway in Temple Hills, Maryland, on Saturday morning.

Prince George’s County Fire Department spokesman Mark Brady said the single-vehicle accident occurred on northbound Suitland Parkway close to Silver Hill Road. He said a helicopter is being used to transport the victims.

Brady said three children, all under the age of 10, were ejected from the vehicle, which rolled over during the crash. Two adults had to be extracted from the vehicle.

The children were taken to Children's Hospital and the adults were taken to Prince George's Hospital's Trauma Center.

It is not known how the accident occurred or the identities of the victims. Brady said Suitland Parkway from Silver Hill Road to Naylor Road is expected to remain closed until the scene is cleared and the investigation by the U.S. Park Police is concluded.
