Maryland State Police say one person is dead and another is injured after a two-vehicle crash on the inner loop of the Capital Beltway near College Park.
The crash occurred around 3 a.m. Monday and closed all lanes of the inner loop between Interstate 95 and New Hampshire Avenue for about three hours.
While the cause of the crash remains unknown at this time, police confirm the driver of one of the vehicles has died. The second driver's injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation.
