Family Seeks Killer of Two “Friendly and Loving” Pet Dogs at Farm in Waldorf

Two family dogs were shot and killed at a Waldorf, Maryland, farm Monday, and the owners are seeking the public's help finding the killer.

Bear and Benelli were family pets at Zekiah Farms and are remembered as "friendly and loving," according to the farm's Facebook post.

The dogs got away Friday evening and were found dead late Monday on the family's farm property  in the area of Bryantown Road and Booth Place.

Both had been fatally shot between the neck and left shoulder. Their owners suspect the perpetrator was proficient with guns due to the accuracy of the shots.

Zekiah Farms said the dogs were always around animals, and loved children and customers.

Zekiah Farms said it wants anyone with information about this "mean, hateful, and senseless crime" to contact the farm or police.
