Early Voting Cancellations

Early voting in the state of Maryland was canceled Monday due to concerns over the approach of Hurricane Sandy, Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley announced.

Early voting was permitted in Maryland on Sunday, with polling places closing at 6 p.m. Polling places in D.C. were closed on Sunday and will be closed again Monday.

In Falls Church, in-person absentee balloting was scheduled to continue from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the city registrar's office in Suite 101 East at City Hall, though city government was closed.
