Police say speed was a factor in a single-vehicle accident Monday evening in Howard County, Md.

The driver was traveling southbound on Route 29 at Old Columbia Road around 7 p.m. when the vehicle veered off the right side and overturned. Police say the driver was not wearing a seat belt and that speed was a factor.

The driver was killed and has not yet been identified.
